FUNCTION

Responsible for the supervision of SAS programmers for the Pharmacometrics/Programming Dept. Serves as programmer in compliance with appropriate SOPs, GCPs, and regulatory agency guidelines, on research studies.

Responsibilities:
Assigns programmers specific job duties.
Responsible for scheduling, training, and appraising staff.
Supervises the work of programmers and quality control auditors.
Provides management with estimates of group capacity and needs.
Provides management with updates on timelines and projects.
Provides a contract programming service to clients.
Ensures staff is adequately trained and capable of performing their assignment within the time scheduled.
Liaises with Data Management, Programming and Pharmacokinetics.
Produces tables, listings, figures, and PK merge files.
Assist Data Management with Oracle Clinical database operations.
Performs peer-review or double programming of other programmer’s work as appropriate.
Identifies process changes to provide a better product in a shorter time to clients.


REQUIREMENTS

Master’s degree in Computer Science plus 3+ years related experience or BS degree plus 6+ years of related experience.
Previous Leadership/Supervisory/Management experience is required.
Skilled in use of statistical packages (e.g., SAS) and general computer operation. Programming experience is a must.
Experience with Oracle Clinical database is preferred.
