The Institute is pleased to announce a few Scholarships for the DB&F course of IIBF to the Students taking up this course, who fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
The applicant should:
* be studying for the Final Year Graduation Course in any discipline;
*have passed 12th Standard with minimum 60% or above marks;
*have secured minimum 50% or above marks in the 1st and 2nd Year Graduation;
*be applying for the First Time for the DB&F Course;
*not have family income of over Rs.2,00,000 per annum; and
*be recommended by the Principal of the College for the Scholarship.
The general guidelines for awarding the scholarship are as under:
*Based on income criteria:
1.Candidates, whose family income is up to Rs.2,00,000 per annum will be grouped into three categories as shown below:
Category A Category B Category C
Family income: Less than Rs.1,00,000 per annum
Family income: Between Rs.1,00,000 and Rs.1,50,000 per annum
Family income: Between Rs.1,50,000 and Rs.2,00,000 per annum
Candidates, whose family income is above Rs.2, 00,000 per annum shall not be eligible for the scholarship
2.A merit list will be prepared under each category giving priority to the candidates with lowest income.
*Based on qualification criteria:
Based on the total of the marks scored at the HSC/12th Standard, 1st year and 2nd year graduation level, a merit list will be prepared in the order of highest total.
Candidates, who have not scored minimum 60% at the HSC/12th Standard examination and minimum 50% marks in the first and second year graduation course, will not be eligible to apply for the Scholarship
*Certificate and recommendation from the College Principal:
Certificate and recommendation from the College Principal on the application confirming the eligibility, marks and income status and recommending that the candidate is deserved for the Scholarship is compulsory. Applications received for Scholarship without such Certificate and recommendation will be invalid.
*Final Selection:
50% of the number of the Scholarships earmarked for each examination shall be given to the candidates from the merit list based on the income criteria under Category A and remaining 50% shall be given to the candidates based on the qualification criteria under the same category, but excluding those covered under the income criteria of the said category. If the required number is not available from category A, the same selection procedure will be followed for the selection of candidates under category B and thereafter C.
Selection will be by a Committee appointed by the Institute based on the academic record, financial background and the recommendation of the Principal of the College, from amongst the eligible candidates.
Other Information
*The Scholarship amount would be Rs.3,200/- which is the Course Fee for the DB&F:
*Although applications for the May 2009 DB&F Examination have already been received with the course fee, IIBF could consider awarding a few Scholarships to the eligible candidates by way of reimbursement of the Fee. Applications for this should be received in the office of the Institute on or before 30th June 2009; and
*For the future Examinations, the due dates for submission of applications for the Scholarship have been mentioned in the application form.
