Bjorksten | bit 7 is building a new product development team to work on our client’s new software products used for biotechnology applications.

Responsibilities:

· Database design and implementation in Oracle.

· Design, develop, implement, and test code required to support web services needs.

· Implement web services standards, technologies, and tools.

· Work with internal customers to assist in the definition of specifications.

· Create test plans and user documentation.

· Participate in all phases of the development process including initial scope analysis, specification, design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, initial training, and maintenance.

· Code within a team environment.



Qualifications:

· 3-7 years of work experience coding SQL and PL/SQL.

· B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent work experience.

· Some experience with Java/J2EE.

· 1 or more years experience with a web development framework.

· An ability to write and tune complex queries.

· A thorough understanding of Oracle 10g architecture.

· Experience with Spring/Hibernate.

· Experience with large databases.

· Experience in an environment utilizing multi-master Advanced Replication.



Desired Qualifications:

· Background experience in a scientific industry a plus.

· Lab environment experience a plus.
