A British newspaper reported on Sunday that Pakistani Taliban leader Baitullah Mehsud's death was due to his desire for becoming father for a son. On the date when the incident occured 35 years old Mehsud was spending the night at the house of his second wife.
"In the end it may have been the desire for a son that led to the Taliban leader's demise," said the report.
Intially it was reported that Mehsud's wife and a few fighers were dead. But suspicions were raised when a large funeral was held in the newt day.
Pakistani Interior Minister Rehman Malik said Saturday Mehsud, his wife and seven guards were killed. But he added, "We're still waiting for material evidence to confirm it totally."
