One Lecturer (Political Science) in Jawaharlal Nehru Rajkeeya Mahavidyalaya(JNRM), Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Administration. The post is reserved for ST candidates.

Qualifications :

Essential :

Educational :i) Good Academic record with at least 55% of marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O,A,B,C,D,E, and F at the Master’s Degree level in Political Science from an Indian University or an equivalent Degree from a Foreign University.

Explanation :The term ‘Good Academic Record’ means at least Second Class with Fifty percent marks in Graduation level.

ii) Should have cleared the eligibility test (NET) for Lecturers conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC.

NOTE - I :
NET shall remain the compulsory requirement for appointment as Lecturer even for those with Post-Graduate degree. However, the candidates having Ph.D degree in the concerned subject are exempted from ‘NET’ for PG and UG level teaching. The candidates having M.Phil degree in the concerned subject are exempted from ‘NET’ for UG level teaching only.

NOTE-II:Relaxation of 5% may be provided from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D degree holders who have passed Master’s degree prior to 19th September 1991.

NOTE – III:‘B’ in the 7 point scale with letter grades O,A,B,C,D,E & F shall be regarded as equivalent of 55% wherever the grading system is followed.

NOTE –IV :A relaxation of minimum marks at the PG level from 55% to 50% may be provided to the candidates who have cleared the Junior Research Fellowship Examination conducted by UGC/CSIR only prior to 1989 when minimum marks required to appear for JRF examination was 50%.

NOTE : V:Relaxation of 5% may be provided from 55% to 50% of the marks at the Master’s degree level for the ST category.

Duties :Conducting classes such as lectures in Political Science, Practicals, tutorials, seminars etc. at UG/PG level or any such other works assigned by the Head of the Institution or such other competent authorities.

HQ : Anywhere in A&N Islands where a Govt. Degree College exists.
