The candidates must-
1. Works independently towards providing support for escalated incident/problem management requirements (L2 support).
2. Expert on different flavours of Unix (HP-UX, Linux,AIX,Sun Solaris, Tru-64 etc) and OS related applications (Ex. XCOM, SNA etc) , resolves at least 80% of calls routed to him/her , without having to dispatch to service partners.
3. In-depth knowledge of troubleshooting scripts and knowledge of server topologies/configurations (DP, MP, Beowulf, Grid Computing).
