West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited has come into effect from 01.04.2007 after restructuring of erstwhile West Bengal State Electricity Board in compliance of Electricity Act 2003.WBSEDCL is a major power utility of the state with consumer strength over 68 lakhs. 5 zones, 17 circles, 47 distribution divisions and 467 electric supply offices make up the backbone to the power distribution system of the state .

WBSEDCL Require young, result oriented Engineers/ Professionals for various units of the companies :

* Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) : 06 posts
* Assistant Engineer (Electrical) : 42 posts
* Assistant Engineer (Civil) : 05 posts
* Assistant Engineer (IT /Computer Science) : 03 posts
* Assistant Manager (Finance & Accounts) : 05 posts
* Assistant Manager (HR & Administration) : 09 posts
* Assistant Manager (Stores) : 03 posts
* Assistant Manager (Corporate Communication) : 02 posts
* Sub Assistant Engineer (Electrical) : 200 posts
* Sub Assistant Engineer (Civil) : 30 posts


Pay Scale : For Sub-Assistant Engineer : Rs.6300-20200/- Grade Pay Rs.4400 and for Engineers/ Assistant Managers, the pay scale is15600-39100 with grade pay Rs.5400

Age limit: 27 years as on 01.07.2009. Age is relax-able by 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.

Reservation: Reservation of post for SC/ST/OBC/Physically handicapped candidates will be as per govt. rules in force.

Application Fee : DD of Rs. 400/- (Rs.300/- for Sub Engineer poss) drawn in favor of West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd. payable at Kolkata only. Demand drafts payable at locations other than Kolkata will not be accepted. Money Order / Postal Order or any other mode of payment is not acceptable. No fee from SC/ST candidates.
