Position Summary
Typically involve managing the web based software application , provide on site support, work hand in hand with the operational personnel and assist them in their daily operations related to software applications
, fixing the computer and other hardware related issues. A Desktop analyst is expected to be able to fix the hardware and network related issues and installation of printers, other hardware such as hand helds , scanners etc.
Key Result Areas (Responsibilities)
* Should able to work as first level support on site.
* Should able to quickly understand the software and hardware issues and fix them appropriately.
* Should able to follow the change management process and report the service requests to the head office.
* Must have strong organizational skills, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to deal with customers, staff and upper management with tact, decisiveness and timeliness.
* Has the ability to convince his or her co-workers and clients that the more time spent on specification and design will in fact save time in coding and testing.
Feature Specification and Design
* Understand the overall design and usage of our software application.
* Ability to read and write software requirements and Understand Application processes and support the end users.
* Ability to follow to IT policies and procedures and change management procedures.
Networking and System Configuration
* Demonstrated knowledge of setting up remote access for users.
* Demonstrated ability to support networked printers and photocopiers, Scanners.
* Demonstrated ability to configure various kinds of computers, printers, scanners, hand held computers, barcode printers etc.
* Demonstrated working knowledge of current communications devices and protocols, server and desktop technologies
* Facilitation and change management skills
