Recruitment to the post of Lower Division Clerks (LDC) & Peon
Applications, in the prescribed format are invited to fill up following vacancies in the cadre of Lower Division Clerks and Peon in the ESI Corporation, Punjab. The break up of the vacancies is as under :
Pay & Allowances:
The above posts will carry pay band as given below plus allowances payable to Corporation employees:-
a. Lower Divison Clerks : Pay Band 5200-20,200/- Grade Pay 1900/- + allowances
b. Peon : Pay Band 5200-20,200/- Grade Pay 1800/- + allowances.
Age Limit:- 18-27 years as on 07.08.09. relaxation as per governmet rules.
Qualifications:-
a) For Lower Division Clerk
i) Higher Secondary Pass (Pass in 12th Standard or equivalent from a recognized Board of Education).
ii) Working knowledge of computer including use of Office suites and data bases.
b) For Peon:
i) 10th standard pass with English from a recognized educational Institution under the 10+2 system.
Application Fee:
Demand Draft/Banker’s Cheque of Rs.150/- (For the post of LDC) Rs.100/- (For Peon) should be drawn on the State Bank of India in favour of Regional Director, ESI Corporation, Chandigarh payable at Chandigarh. Candidates belonging to PH/Ex.Servicemen category and employees of ESI Corporation are exempted from payment of examination fee.
There are two Scheme of Examination : i)The Written test , ii) Computer skill test.

Application in the prescribed form may be submitted in an envelope superscribing “Application for the post of LDC/Peon/Driver through Registered/Speed Post. However, candidates applying under Sports quota must write on the envelope. Application for the post of……. under Sports quota, as the case may be.
