Qualifications
We are looking for Senior Developers to participate in the development of applications for mobile devices based on the GNU/Linux and other open source technologies. You are responsible for the specification, development and quality assurance of components in our application projects. You will be part of teams consisting of internal and external members. Your domain of work spans from the application engine to the application UI. You have a passion for high quality SW and enjoy studying existing solutions alternatives to see how they fit to our applications needs. You enjoy the challenge of solving complex engineering problems and working with a team of skilled specialists, even under tight schedules. You participate in code reviews and coach your junior team members in questions related to your domain of expertise and high quality SW. You have already developed specialist skills in one or more areas, but you are eager to widen your scope of expertise to new domains.
You have at least 5 years experience in SW development for embedded devices on Linux including C/C++ and Qt/Qtopia skills. In particular, previous knowledge of the Gnome desktop environment and the maemo software development platform are desirable. You have a proven track record of participation in open source projects. Thus, you know how SW development is conducted in open source projects and are familiar with the legal and licensing issues related to them as well as the Agile-Scrum SW development model.
Telecom exposure mandatory.
Domain knowledge in media technologies desired.
You must be a good team player to be successful in your work. You have experience in coordinating teamwork with colleagues and subcontractors. Networking with internal customers to find out solutions for their needs is a natural way of working for you. You are also self-determined in striving towards a target despite of conflicting views of different stakeholders. In order to communicate effectively with your international colleagues, you are fluent in written and spoken English. You are a solid performer with a strong drive to meet the targets. You enjoy learning and expanding yourself.
