Ph.D. admission in Plant Sciences & Microbiology at Sainsbury Laboratory

The John Innes Centre and Sainsbury Laboratory are world-class centres for plant and microbial sciences.The Institute invites applications for a 4 year Rotation PhD programme in Plant Science & Microbiology starting from Octobver 2010. The project is funded by the BBSRC/John Innes Foundation/Sainsbury Laboratory.

The programme would be a 4 year PhD opportunities in genetic, genomics and cell biology through to molecular biology, biological chemistry and computational biology.

2010/11 scholarships cover stipends of £16,600 pa and tuition fees. The student will also receive a discretionary fund of £2,000 over the 4 years to be used for training and career development relevant to their PhD. Up to five fully funded scholarships will be available to International, Home and EU students.
