Description
1.Milk Procurement
He is responsible for all activities relating to milk procurement :
•Increase milk production and milk procurement on his route
•Take care of milk quality in respect of fat / SNF, bacteriological load, Antibiotic, Aflatoxins and Pesticide residue.
•Control milk difference and over payments
•Ensure correct payment to farmers
•Maintain good operation in Chilling centres and Farm cooling tanks
•Control and supply store material to agents as per norms
•Development of new villages, selection of Agents and their replacement
•To carry out field survey as and when asked
•To maintain good public relation with farmers and attend to complaints in the field.
2.Veterinary Aid
To provide veterinary aid to sick animals of farmers on his route. This includes prophylaxis measure also.
3.Extension Education
To educate farmers on dairy husbandry and general agricultural practices which mainly include, disease control measures, fodder production and silage making, using right quality of cattle feed to avoid problem of Aflatoxins, judicious use and proper handling of antibiotic, clean milk production, proper use of pesticides and fertilizers. To coordinate Village Women Dairy Development Programme for education of village women.
4.Rural DeveIopment
To coordinate for construction of Smokeless chulhas, Biogas plants, Drypit latrines and following up other community projects such as Drinking Water facilities in schools..
5.Breeding Bulls
To decide about the location of bulls, take care of their health and keep constant watch on their use and performance, monitor A.I. centres.
6.Any other job
Any other job assigned by the Head of the Department
7.Contact with other Departments / Outside Agencies
He is required to maintain close contacts with Accounts (Milk Payroll Section), Laboratory, Milk Reception and Engineering departments.
