Calicut university invites application for the BEd. courses 2009-2010 under self financing scheme in the Calicut University Teacher Education Centres.
Application : Only through university website and take the printout of the application, affix a photograph attested by a govt officer, along with requisite fees and attested copies of certificates to the University(Office of the Director of University Teacher Education Centres, Department of Education, University of Calicut- 673 635) on or before 14-September-2009
Cost of Application: 100 Rupees (per application) For General and 50 Rupees(per application) for SC/ST

Eligibility for admission :
I i) B. A./B.Sc. Degree of the University of Calicut or a degree recognized as equivalent thereto under 10+ 2+3 pattern, with a minimum of 45% marks under Part III Main and subsidiary/ies put together. However 10+2+3 Pattern is not insisted for B. A./B. Com. Degree holders under liberalized scheme of the University of Calicut.
ii) SC/ST candidates including natives of Lakshadweep and candidates under Teacher Quota need only a pass in the Qualifying Examination
ii)Relaxation of 5% marks for OEC and 3% for OBC candidates will be allowed to the minimum required marks. i.e. OEC candidates need 40% marks and OBC candidates 42% in the qualifying examinations.
II For Commerce optional
i) Candidates should have passed M. Com. Degree of the University of Calicut or a Degree recognized as equivalent thereto with a minimum of 50% marks.
ii) SC/ST candidates, natives of Lakshadweep and applicants under Teacher Quota need only a pass in the qualifying examination.
iii) Relaxation of 5% marks for OEC and 3% for OBC candidates will be allowed to the minimum required marks i.e. OEC candidates need 45% and OBC candidates 47% of marks.
III For Computer Science Education Optional
i) Candidates should have passed MCA/M.Sc. Computer Science/M.Sc. Electronics of the University of Calicut or a Degree recognized as equivalent thereto with a minimum of 50% marks with usual relaxation to SC/ST/OEC/OBC Candidates.
ii) SC/ST candidates, natives of Lakshadweep and applicants under Teacher Quota need a mere pass in the qualifying examination.
iii) Relaxation of 5% marks for OEC and 3% for OBC candidates will be allowed to the minimum required marks i.e. OEC candidates need 45% and OBC candidates 47% of marks.
