Qualification :Minimum B.E. / B. Tech in Electrical/Power Distribution Engineering
Experience :Minimum 18 years of post qualification executive experience in the field of power
generation or Power Transmission & distribution /Central Utilities /State Utilities/ in Government Organisations, with an aggregate capacity of 800 MW or above, comprising units of various sizes starting from 25 MW upto 60 MW and above, having multi fuel Boilers.
The incumbent must have through knowledge in the following related fields:

· Various technologies currently used in thermal power plants
· Measurement of efficiency of thermal power stations
· Transmission and Distribution network currently operation in India,
particularly in Central and Eastern India
· Various charges being levied by Central/State Regulatory Commissions for
inter-state wheeling, as well as intra-state wheeling of power
· Electricity Act 2003, latest amendments and notifications issued by Govt. of
India, particularly for inter-state wheeling of power, intra-state wheeling of
power, criteria for captive status of Units, advantages & disadvantages of
setting up of captive power plants etc.
· Latest developments in sale of power through energy exchanges such as IEX, Power Exchange India, etc.
