Job Profile:-
• Acts as a point of contact for the problem resolution in support of the PNOC platform.
• Handle TAC Service Requests and development team escalation and submits defect reports in the appropriate tools.
• Coordinate with product development team and customer to solve the customer issues.
• Represent as RS technical representative on escalated customer issues.
• Provide the 24x7 support from Bangalore to Global customers.
• Solves NMS product problems of high complexity.
• Provides consultation to solve complex product and network problems independently.
• Effectively utilizes complex lab setups to simulate/duplicate the customer problems and provide the solution to the customer.
• Provides systems/product training and create intellectual property material.
• Consults with other teams in Cisco to assist Customers.
Skills Required: -
• Ability to analyze, configure and troubleshoot Cisco NMS products, Sun Solaris OS and database issues for large IP networks.
• Minimum 5 years experience in Network Management domain including, NOC operations, performance management, fault management and NMS product configuration/customization.
• Experience in Implementing MPLS VPN, MetroEthernet and QoS services in a service provider environment is beneficial.
• Server/OS experience on administration, sizing, tuning and maintenance of Solaris and Linux ( Windows knowledge is beneficial) based systems
• Certified technical expert in more than one area with a wide understanding of NMS products, IP Networking, MPLS, QoS, TCP/IP protocols.
• Good understanding of ITIL process for IT service management.
• Programming experience – development of tcl, sh, perl, SQL scripts
• Experience in one or more of SNMP, SYSLOG, RMON and TL1
• Experience with Oracle databases and SQL (knowledge of Sybase and others databases is beneficial).

Experience & Education:
B.E/B.Sc in Electronics, Telecommunications, Electrical or Computer Science with at least 5 yrs of experience. Certifications in one or more the following; CCNA, CCIP, ITIL, HP OpenView/Netcool, must have experience or certification on Sun Solaris/HP Linux Administration.
