Job Description:
The Creative Management team is part of Yahoo! Sales. This team is comprised of Creative Strategists and Creative Leads, who develop the advertising “creative” (keywords, titles & descriptions and ad groups) for advertisers running Yahoo! Search Marketing campaigns. The team also reviews advertisers’ campaigns and proactively recommends solutions to improve campaign performance. The Analyst role, is a support role to the Creative Management team. On a daily basis, Analysts will be relied on to help US based Creative Strategists and Leads service accounts for various Advertisers. Analysts play a key role in supporting the Account Management function by participating in the operations and day-to-day processes involved in launching, maintaining and optimizing advertising campaigns, with a focus on the Creative aspects of the campaigns. Analysts will interact daily, with various Creative Strategists and Leads.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Work in a fast paced team environment, quickly and accurately processing tasks received from US-based Creative Strategists and Leads.
* Provide development recommendations and implementation for advertisers, including finding new keywords, developing and/or improving ad copy, and structuring accounts
* Varied reporting using Y! proprietary tools, some analysis
Basic Qualifications:
* Strong understanding of all facets of search marketing and best practice campaign development and management and a willingness to continue to stay contemporary on trends within the industry
* Ability to solve problems and identify opportunities through the use of analytics and critical thinking
* Ability to work independently but also in a team environment
* Excellent US English communications skills (grammar & vocabulary) with an ability to “think on your feet” and speak professionally to internal US based customers
* Email and IM etiquette a must
* Analytical skills preferred
* Strong attention to detail
* Adaptive to change
* Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
* Ability to quickly learn and use various Y! proprietary tools
* Understanding of marketing and online marketing products is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
* Strong working knowledge of YSM’s guidelines and ad development best practices
* Experience servicing and/or consulting in a vendor/client relationship
* Graduate degree from a recognized university is mandatory
* Minimum of 1 year and maximum 2 years work experience is mandatory
* Knowledge of broader marketing & advertising trends and frameworks
