Yahoo is looking for an accomplished Storage QA engineer to ensure quality in Deployments, Production Changes, Tools, and Process and follow up of remediation items from Post-mortems
Responsibilities:
• Responsible to ensure release quality for all production Storage systems- NAS/SAN (Installations)
• Fail over, Availability and Functionality testing
• Storage Operating Systems, Firmware, new hardware testing
• Developing and ensuring compliance to SoP’s
• Participate in Post-Mortems to remediate any issues in production
• Ensuring audit & compliance for all production standards
• Developing specifications for tools/automation requirements for Quality Assurance and coordinating with tools to team to get the automation/tools developed
• Working with Storage Infra team to define standards & templates
• Problem Management to ensure to categorize and track issues
Skills & Qualifications required:
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Storage Administration
• Very Good understanding and experience in NAS/SAN Storage environments (mainly NetApp and EMC systems)
• Any audit & compliance knowledge would be preferred
• Documentation experience (mainly developing SoP’s)
• Very good project & problem management skills
• QA experience is preferred
• Automation experience is added advantage
• Work experience in large scale production environments
Educational Background:
• BE/B.Tech/M.Tech in relevant engineering/CS field.
