Google operates a global network of locations and we are looking for talented Telephony Systems Engineers who can provide creative, timely and scalable solutions for our rapidly growing company. Your area of responsibility will range from design, implementation to disaster recovery. The scale and complexity of Google's voice network generates a constant stream of interesting challenges which requires strong knowledge in H323, SIP, TCP/IP and VoIP, IVR, call routing, and general call center experience. The candidate must be able to see projects through all stages, including defining, requirements, drafting and presenting technical proposals, deploying and maintaining the overall solutions. Experience and flexibility regarding on-call responsibilities which may require rotating 24x7 on-call support and off-hours maintenance work.

Responsibilities:
* Provide technical guidance and leadership in the arenas of telephony, networking, and system administration.
* Work with cross-functional engineering and operation teams to design, implement and maintain services related to the telephony infrastructure and/or systems used by the customers.
* Design "best in class" telephony infrastructure, leveraging both TDM and VoIP technologies.
* Work with cross-functional teams to deliver complete solutions ranging from new office designs to complex, database driven, IVR solutions.
* Execute VoIP (SIP/H.323) design, implementation, and troubleshooting.
Requirements:
* B.Tech / M.tech with strong academic record.
* At least 4 years of experience with Avaya Suite products (AIC, AES, AVP, CM, CMS, and SES).
* Strong experience with telephony products (Call Recording, Call Logging, Workforce Management, Session Border Controllers).
* Experience with protocols (SIP, TDM, DCP, H.323, Q.931, etc.).
* IP-based networking and troubleshooting (V4 and V6) skills.
* Knowledge of Java and scripting languages (VXML, Python, Soap, XML) and operating systems (Linux, Solaris, Windows, and Mac OS-X).
* Excellent analytical, quantitative and communication skills.
