For System Engineer resources a minimum of 1 year and for Sr System Engineer resources 2 to 4 years experience in providing server (hardware and software) operations support in a mid to large process driven organization, supporting Windows.
a. Working knowledge of Microsoft environment.
b. Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WINS, HTTP, and SSL deployments.
c. Basic understanding of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, RIP, IPX, TCP/IP, etc) and VPNs.
d. Basic understanding of “netline” command parameter
e. Basic understanding of application related services (ODBC, TNS, TFP, etc...)
f. General understanding of Microsoft clustering
g. Working knowledge of “Vmware” preferred
Experience on ticketing tools desirable.
- Communication skills have to be good, especially written
- Strong ability to understand & follow documented processes.
