Description Job Description
A Senior Production engineer responsible for:
Providing Windows systems administration support for the Yahoo operations.
Provide Microsoft patching, hot-fix, vulnerability, and software updates for Windows OS based servers
Perform day-to-day operations support for Patch and Antivirus management on production Windows servers

Core Requirements – Subject matter expert is preferred
Windows Competencies
Windows 2000, 2003 and 2008 server OS
Windows 2003 Active Directory and DNS
Windows Media Services
Microsoft Application Center
IIS6.0 and IIS 7.0
SQL 2000, 2005 and SQL 2008
Microsoft Cluster Services
Microsoft Operation Management (MOM) 2005
Microsoft Automated Deployment Services
Administration experience in Citrix 4.5 presentation server

Applications
Basic Knowledge of VMware/Hyper-v
Knowledge of PatchLink or any Patch Management software
Symantec Antivirus
Symantec Ghost

Networking Technologies
TCP/IP
SNMP
SSH
FTP

Scripting
VBScript
Windows PowerShell Scripting
Windows WMI Scripting


Experience
5 - 7 years of Windows systems engineering and administration experience with large, enterprise class deployments over 500 systems.

Education
Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or other engineering preferred
