SRM Medical College Hospital & Research Center and SRM Dental College are situated in Chennai. Uttar Pradesh combined Medical Entrance test (UPCMET) 2010

Rajasthan Pre-Medical Test(PET) is an entrance exam for admission to M.B.B.S./B.D.S./B.V.Sc. & A.H courses in various medical, dental and veterinary institutes in Rajasthan. Every year many students across Rajasthan appear for RPMT to get admission in the best medical/dental/veterinary institutes in Rajasthan. RPMT is a common entrance test for all the 3 courses conducted every year.

Rajasthan PMT is conducted by Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur. There are about 15 institutes in Rajasthan offering bachelor medical/dental/veterinary courses through Rajasthan PMT. 85% seats in these institutes are reserved for Rajasthan candidates admission to which is through RPMT whereas there are 15% seats for All India candidates who can get admission through AIPMT merit.

TMISAT 2010 by Tolani Maritime Institute

TMISAT is an online entrance examination conducted by Tolani Maritime Institute for admission to B.S. Marine Engineering and B.S. Nautical Technology courses in Tolani Maritime Institute. Tolani Maritime Institute is situated in Pune and conducts the entrance examination in collaboration with Birla Institute of Technology and Science. These engineering programs fall under the category of the off campus courses provided by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science.


To get admission in either of the two courses candidates can either appear for TMISAT or BITSAT so the candidates who have already appeared for BITSAT are exempted to appear for TMISAT. The candidates who qualify in either of these examinations are called for personal interview and medical examination. TMI conducts two rounds of admission: one for the candidates who apply before 31st March and one those who apply after 31st March.

Eligibility criteria:

A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with atleast 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Also a candidate should have got atleast 50% marks in English either in 10th or 12th. Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2010 can also apply.
A male candidate should not be more than 21 years of age as on 1st September, 2010. For female candidates the age limit is relaxed by 2 years. Only unmarried candidates can apply for these courses. Candidates should also meet the physical fitness and the medical standards criteria.

Index Marks
The marks obtained for each subject is to be converted as the case may be and index mark is to be arrived accordingly (Total 500) for BBA and 600 for BCOM.

Handicap Marks
A Handicap of 5 marks for every successive attempt after the first attempt subject to a maximum of 20 marks out of the Index marks will be imposed on those who have taken two or more chances to complete the qualifying examination.
The number of chances means the number of chances taken for passing any part of the qualifying examination after the prescribed course period.
No handicap marks for 'SAY' pass outs be imposed if admitted in the same academic year.

Bonus Marks
Ten marks to applicants who have passed the qualifying examination after undergoing the whole prescribed course of study in the same institution in which they seek admission to PG courses.
Bonus of 15 marks for Degree shall be awarded for NCC and NSS candidates for admission to all courses.
An additional Bonus mark of 3 will be given to 'A' Certificate holders, 5 to 'B' and 'C' certificate holders.
Bonus of 15 marks shall be added to the Ex-servicemen and widows and children of jawans and ex-servicemen.
The benefit of Bonus marks can be scored by a candidate only under one category i.e., either NSS or NCC.
Bonus marks cannot be used to decide minimum eligibility.

Weightage Marks
Students applying for BCom course would get a weightage of 25 marks in each of the three subjects of commerce combination, as explained in the eligibility criteria, subject to a maximum of 75 marks
