Shahruk's surname detained him for two hours in US airport

Amazingly Indian superstar Shahrukh Khan was detained for almost two hours in an american airport (Newark) early Saturday morning because his surname featured in the most common list.

Shahrukh was released after congress MP Rajiv Shukla interacted with the US authority and the Indian consulate.

The actor was detained after his name flashed on the computer. He was asked several questions about the purpose of his visit. His hand baggage was checked. He was not allowed to even make a phone call for nearly an hour.

Even if, the superstar revealed his identity, the authority was not convinced and even he was not allowed to make any phone call. Shahrukh will be returning to India on 18th August.

India's "Bhuvan" beats Google Earth

Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) took a leap into satellite imagery of geographical regions with the launch of `Bhuvan', India's mapping application website.

Similar to Google Earth or Wikimapia, Bhuvan goes a step ahead. The application allows users to zoom far closer than the aerial view from a chopper.

The application will allow users to have a closer look at any part of the subcontinent barring sensitive locations such as military and nuclear installations. The satellites can capture images of objects as small as a car on a road.

This would provide a user with images having resolution up to 10 m.

Unlike Google Earth, users will not be able to download images from Bhuvan and will be able to browse content like on any website.

Bhuvan will be able to take much closer pictures of the Indian Subcontinent as compared to the Google Earth. Bhuvan will feature a zoom level of upto 10 meters while the Google Earth features a zoom level of up to 200 meters.

Reports also reveal that Bhuvan will update map information every year, however, Google Earth reportedly updates its map information every 4 years.

Saina lost her first game with a close finish but came back strongly in the second one 18-21. Saina won the two successive games by 21-18 and 21-10.

Saina remarked that, "In the second game, it was really tough as I was leading 18-11 but she bounced back but I think I kept my cool and it paid off".

Sixth-seeded Nehwal will now clash with second-seeded Chinese Wang Lin, a 21-10, 23-21 winner over Korean Hwang Hye Youn.

Mumbai gets special Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) soon

Mumbai is likely to be provided a special status under Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) Act for faster clearance of projects meant for redevelopment of the financial capital.

Very soon Mumbai is going to get a special status under Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ).

Union Environment Minister Jairam Ramesh said today that they are considering to give a special status to Mumbai under CRZ Act to resolve issues regarding development and redevelopment of the city. Due to various city related problems CRZ acts are to be changed accordingly before the city gets special status.

The special status envisages housing and right to employment for economically weaker sections, especially the fisherfolks, Ramesh said. The housing projects along the coasts will be undertaken by the state government with state funding and not by the private builders, he said.
