Criteria for admission

The students are admitted into all U.G. courses except B. H. Sc. (Home Science) based on their performance in the state level Common Entrance Test (EAMCET) conducted by Department of Higher Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh. In the case of selection of candidates for B.V.Sc. & A.H. course a candidate must have obtained not less than 50% marks in Biology, Physics and Chemistry taken together (40% in the case of SC & ST candidates) in the EAMCET. In case of B. H. Sc. (Home Science) only women candidates are eligible for admission with a pass in two year Intermediate Examination with Bi. P. C or M. P. C. After the results of the entrance Test are notified by the authorities, the University shall invite applications from eligible candidates through Notification in some of the leading News paper like Eenadu, Vaartha, The Hindu and Siasat etc.

Age

The candidates for admission to First Year Under-Graduate courses in the University shall be required to have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December of the year of admission with an upper age limit of 22 years for all the candidates and 25 years in case of SC and ST candidates.

The eligible candidates shall be required to attend personal counselling as per the intimation/notification in the News Papers and be admitted to different U.G. Programmers depending on their individual merit as determined by the 'rank' obtained in EAMCET following the presidential order (Regional allotment), the rule of reservation as per orders of the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

The Union Public Service commission will hold the Geologists' Examination 2009 commencing from 5th December, 2009 for recruitment to Geologist (Junior), Group A and Assistant Geologist Grade-I, Group B in the Geological Survey of India and Jr. Hydrogeologists (Scientist B) Group A in the Central Ground Water Board. All the candidates appearing either for Entrance Examination or Direct admission have to submit duly filled admission form with attested photo copies of testimonials. Original testimonials are to be shown at the time of admission. The reservation of seats are as per the Hon'ble Supreme Court's decision.

The selection of candidates for admission to any course in university seat (50% of the total) and payment seats (35% of the total) is made on the merit list prepared on the basis of the Entrance Test conducted by the college on all India basis as per University orders. 15% seats in all the courses are reserved for NRI/Management/Sponsored candidates. There will be no Entrance Test in this category and Direct Admission procedure is followed. Any seat which remains vacant after expiry of stipulated time given to a candidate on waiting list will automatically revert back to the general category.

The final selection is done after conducting the interview/counseling of the candidate by College Admission Committee.

Note:

F Candidate (either sex) applying from Jammu and Kashmir and Nepal, have to submit the original document of their police.

F Verification issued by the SSP or District Police Authority.

F Fees once deposited will not be refunded in any case.
